In 1896, several bronze objects were found near Sosnovka village, Chigirin County (uezd), Kiev Province. The Sosnovka finds consisted of four celts and six bronze bars which had not been attracting interest of scholars for a long time. Meanwhile, the fact that objects of this kind were found in the Middle Dnieper region may surely induce certain valuable reflections. It was therefore decided to publish the finds from Sosnovka comprehensively as a separate study. Actually, they are identified to be a hoard of metal products of the fifth period Late Bronze age according to the Eastern European chronology scale, which corresponds to the 14th—13th centuries BCE. Also, the assumption is made that the hoard is the result of imports to the Middle Dnieper region from the west.

Key words: hoard, metal tools, the last Bronze Age, the middle Dnieper region.
