This article presents information resources on mass archaeological material — amphorae and stamps of the ancient era. Currently, there are fewer than a dozen databases containing information on various categories of this source type. All of them appeal to get closer to solving the primal problem: providing access to information regardless of the researcher’s country of residence, the quality of libraries and the size of museum depositories. In the field of documenting and presenting accumulated materials, ceramic epigraphy has achieved more significant results. According to objects documenting and visualizing, the method of generating illustrative materials based on three-dimensional models generated using photogrammetry should be considered most successful and meeting all modern requirements. The options for presenting the search queries results developed and implemented in the «Roman Open Data» database are particularly noteworthy. The possibilities of using the information presented on the APE data portal dedicated to container amphorae are also detailed in the article.

Key words: Ancient amphorae and stamps, databases, statistical analysis.
