Ilyasov (Tashkent, Uzbekistan Decoration of tare pottery during the period of Kanishka I (based on the materials of the Kampyrtepa archaeological site) At Kampyrtepa, located in the south of Uzbekistan, many artifacts have been found, allowing us to study the material and spiritual culture of Bactria of the Kushan era. These are high-quality ceramics, terracotta figurines, carved bone, metalwork, etc. The site is a fortress at the crossing of the Oxus / Amudarya, abandoned no later than the reign of King of Kings Kanishka I, so the finds from the upper layer give a clear chronological reference — the second quarter of the 2nd century CE. The article publishes materials characterizing the decoration of large storage jars of this period, and interesting from the point of view of studying glyptics and sphragistics, owner's marks and art of the epoch of “Great Kushans”.
